| Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans
This five member Celtic rock band originates from the mountains of Western North Carolina and was influenced by such ground-breaking bands as Seven Nations and Enter the Haggis.
In their music, you're likely hear influences that range from Toto to Genesis and all points in between. Mix in the haunting sounds of traditional Celtic instruments such as the Highland bagpipes, whistles, flute, mandolin and other instruments of the like, and what you get is Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans.
Band members include; Shawn Dunham, Bass, guitar, mandolin and vocals; Liam Davidson, Bagpipe, flute, whistle and bass; John Barden, guitar and vocals; Erik Roth, Keyboards and vocals; Jim "JB" Black; drums and vocals. Once you experience Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans live, you'll quickly understand why they have become the hardest working band in the celtic rock scene. See - Hooligans Website

Tres
de Solei
Sometimes
great things happen when
they’re
completely spontaneous. Tres
de Solei is one of those
unplanned yet brilliant
inventions.
So
who are we? We are Tres
de Solei, and we are a unique
three piece ensemble that
plays Celtic music from Ireland,
Scotland and Brittany. We
feature dazzling vocals and
brilliant musicianship. Oh
yeah, we are unabashed!
What
started out as a ‘fun” duo
with Michael Robbins and Reva
Paget (both of the BorderCollies)
became a powerhouse trio with
the additional of 16 year
old Elizabeth Robbins on vocals. “Suddenly
we had this band that was
quickly becoming popular. We
started recording some of
our material and things took
off”, explains Michael.
So
expect the unexpected. Anything
from traditional Celtic to
the Wailin Jenny’s to
Dougie MacLean to Green Day
and back to Robert Burns. Expect
to have fun!

The
Oatcakes
Scott Russell,
guitarist, and Bill McClain,
fiddler, perform in the
Cape Breton style
of traditional
Scottish music.
Scott has also been a mainstay
of the Atlanta old time
and contra dance scene
for 30 years. He
has played for numerous
bands over the years,
covering everything
from traditional American
fiddle music to Irish
traditional music.
Bill
has been involved with
traditional music for
many years. He has
explored many styles
of traditional music:
Southern American, New England,
Irish, Cajun, and Cape
Breton style fiddling.
Scott and Bill, along with
their families, have made
a yearly visit to Cape Breton,
Nova Scotia for the past five
years. While there, Bill has
studied privately with several
of the best fiddlers on the
Island, and has taken part
in the Buddy MacMaster School
of Fiddling. Bill and Scott
have made it their purpose
to bring a small bit of the
Cape Breton spirit back with
them, and share it with others.
